Laptop fell off coffee table a couple of days ago and cracked some of the plastic casing. It has subsequently worked for the next two days but today has shut down automatically and when turned back on, has come with a message "SMART Hard Disk Error".
Followed online support instructions (Enter BIOS setup utility & ensure legacy support disabled
Instructed to go to System Config> UEFI HII Configuration > Intel(R) Rapid Storage technology
but this isn't there. It says intel optane should be listed but it isn't. It then says to contact support.
Virtual agent has me open hardware diagnostics, run a component test
IT came back with Short DST check Passed, Optimised DST Check Warning and SMART Check Recommended Action executing DST.... The test logs give no further info on this.
From there, virtual agent started looping back on itself and there's no other options on screen.
Appreciate any ideas
Thanks!
