HP DeskJet 2320 All-in-One Printer

I've got a new simple printer (HP DeskJet 2320 All-in-One Printer),  USB connection. Not for wireless connection.

I connected it by USB to Mac (no hub use), but when I press print it doesn't.

The printer is On (status idle) and when I try to print, it changes status for a second (status in use), the printing queue adds the document (just for a second, then the print queue disappears deleting the document), and it does not print.

The printer can copy.

There is no software update available.

The printer is mentioned at Hardware at the System Information  (Another thing I noticed is that it mentions:

Scanning support: No).

When visiting 123.hp.com, entering the product name, it says: Your printer doesn’t need any software to print.

When adding it I (System Preferences/ Printers and Scanners/ + Add) there are 4 choices for Use: Auto Select, Generic PCL printer,  Select printer software and Other. I have tried all of them without result.

I have tried HP app, but it says printer not connected by USB (cannot find it).

I have tried HP Easy Start app, the printer is recognised but it redirects me to HP home internet page for support.

I have tried also checked cables, switched on and off, re-set printing system, without result.

Now since this printer does not do air printing , there is no other way to connect it  and  I'm about to return the printer, in case there is no solution.

Please advise.

Thank you in advance.
