Product: HP Deskjet 6540
Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave
I have suddenly become unable to print from my MacBook Air running macOS Mojave 10.14.6 to my HP Deskjet 6540. When I try -- whether from Safari or from Pages -- I get the message "One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing. The print job cannot be completed. To fix this situation, HP recommends reinstalling the print driver software." I still cannot print and get this message after successfully reinstalling the driver software. This computer/printer combo has worked just fine for years. I have no idea what to do next.
