Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina
I just spotted this elsewhere and I can vaguely remember this 'update' appearing and I did click for the upgrade and this is with Malwarebytes running. Is this the cause of the problem? "

I’m sorry to hear that.
You may need to reinstall Sierra and then block updates to address this problem.
Apple gives no record of any update which has recently been released for Sierra, so I have no idea what that’s about. As you know, Sierra is long out of maintenance, so I’m puzzled as to what that could be.
