Operating System: MacOS 11.0.1 Big Sur

Every time I try to print iMac "Printing - Waiting for printer to become available" message, and it just stalls there.  I've tried everything.  Uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and printer.  Resetting the printer.  Restarting the computer.  Updated the software and firmware.  And lots of other things.  Everything I could find online to fix this problem didn't work.  I am able to print a  "Printer Status Report" so it is connected to the computer but I can't print anything else.
