So this morning I needed to print two black and white pages. The first page printed ok and as far as I can tell looking at the printer and the HPsmart, the cartage has enough ink.
When I went to print the second page it is like there is almost no ink in the printer (that is when I checked the ink levels.) And I tried to print again with the same result. I noticed that when I signed into Instant Ink that it says I printed 3 pages (at this point only one page actually printed.)
I contact help and the Virtual Agent tells me to try removing the black cartage and try to print but for some reason I couldn't get the printer to try to print that way. So it tells me to go in and print out the Print Quality Report and follow the directions on that, UM It didn't print any instructions because it isn't printing any of the black except for the very Top left corner of the page. I spend another half hour trying different questions with the virtual assistant trying to find answers but finally give up.
So finally I give in and install a new cartage which of course means I have to print out the alignment page. I get that done and finally print the 2nd page I needed for the day. So It costs me 6 pages out of my allotment to actually print the 2 pages I need. Is there any way to get adjustments if pages are not actually printing? There seems to be no e-mail address to send questions to and the virtual assistant just sends you in circles trying to sort out a cartage malfunctions that doesn't produce an error code in the printer or application.
