Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdn
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

For the longest time I needed wireless capabilities for the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdn. My router was on the first floor and my printer was on the second floor, so I couldn't run an ethernet cable to the router. 

 

But i was able to get a WiFi extender with an Ethernet port. I plugged the wifi extender in the room where the printer was, and ran a 4ft ethernet cable from printer to wifi extender and problem solved.

 

Seen many people struggle with same issue, hope this helps someone.
