I purchased my Spectre x360 in September 2017. Yesterday it suddenly died, and won't charge. There's no power light when the charging cable is plugged in. I've checked the charger and plug socket, and they are not the issue. I also tried doing a "hard reset" by pressing the power button for 15-20 seconds, which did nothing.
My warranty expired at the end of August 2020, but I would never have expected a laptop that cost me £1,400 to die completely five months later.
What can I do? From the forums it appears this is a known fault with the motherboard of this model of laptop.
I am working from home and reliant on my laptop to be able to do my job - I cannot afford to be unable to work for days because of a laptop that I should reasonably have expected to be able to function less than 3.5 years after purchase.
