For some reason, my laptop, with the RTL8821CE network adapter, has super poor performance on my 2.4Ghz network.  My ISP plan allows up to 400Mbps.  Wired, I get over that on my desktop.  On this laptop, I get 200Mbps wireless on the 5Ghz network (is this acceptable? 50% reduction due to wireless?).  On the 2.4Ghz network, I get like 20-30Mbps.  On a laptop right next to it, I get 60-80, even going thru vpn.  I use a Netgear Nighthawk R7400 router, and the signal is strong.
.
I've upgraded the driver via the HP Support Assistant, although it didn't do it until a diagnostic was run, not thru the driver update check, go figure. I've rebooted the router, modem (especially since I just upgraded yesterday.....so I have no idea if problem was before that or not as I usually leave on 5Ghz network). I've run diagnostics, etc, etc, etc.  Any ideas what the problem could be?
.
My current driver is version: 2024.0.10.220

.

Thx,

Chet
