I just bought a new Pavilion Laptop to replace an aging Samsung. I have a KVM switch that allows me to share a monitor, keyboard, and mouse between my personal computer and my work computer. The switch worked fine with the old Samsung and my work computer (Dell), but when I hooked the new Pavilion to the switch, the mouse and keyboard are successfully shared, but not the monitor. When the switch is in position for the new Pavilion, the monitor searches for signal but cannot find the signal. . If I hook the new Pavilion directly to the monitor, it works, but it will not work through the switch.
I'm using high speed HDMI cables (48Gbs) from Amazon. The KVM switch is made by Rybozen. The monitor is a 32 inch Dell.
Any suggestions on how to make the Pavilion work with the KVM switch?
