HP LaserJet Pro M404DN
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP LaserJet Pro M404dn that is setup on a terminal server for one of my clients.  Users then log into the terminal server and use it as needed.  I have multiple printers setup and this is the only one that causes any issues.  What happens is,

1. A user will try to print, but get a paper mismatch error and have to hit ok on the printer to continue. (this is normal)

2. I check all of the settings on that users session and the printer install and everything is as it should be.  I then log into the webportal for the printer and find that Tray 2 is set to "Any Size" and "Rough".

3.  I change it from "Rough" to Any Type.

4. About a month later, the whole process starts over and I find yet again, the tray 2 paper type is set to "Rough" again.  No users know how, or have access to change this setting.

Does anyone have any idea why it keeps changing back and how to stop it?   Once I tell it to use Any Type, the users are no longer prompted to  hit okay to get past a paper type mismatch.

Any and all help is appreciated.
