My old charger recently broke down during a thunderstorm. So I bought a new charger for my laptop and it also broke down within a week. When it broke down the circuit breaker tripped but only in the room where the laptop was plugged in. It was a perfectly fine day and there weren't any thunder storms. I checked whether the charger is working after removing the battery as guided in this troubleshoot guide https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/tech-takes/how-to-fix-laptop-that-wont-charge . But it didn't work. The laptop was working after the charger died until the battery drained out. What might be causing this?
