Product: Compaq LA2405wg
Operating System: Ubuntu LTS
Hi, I have a Compaq LA2405wg monitor. I am connected to it with a DisplayPort cable to my desktop computer. The monitor turns on (green power LED stays on) and my computer recognizes that it is connected. However, the monitor only shows the screen for half a second, and then goes blank. I can initiate this by turning the monitor on and off or unplugging and replugging the display port cable. I can't get the monitor to show the menu or respond in any way except by power cycling or unpluggin/replugging.
Is this likely an electrical problem, or is it something I can fix by communicating with it, or doing a hard reset?
