Product: HP Envy x360 Convertible 15m-ee0xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I bought my HP Envy x360 Convertible laptop in November of last year through Best Buy. Today, less than a year after purchasing the laptop, the right side hinge has come apart. I've used my laptop gently; the device has no other malfunctions or damage. Today, when I closed the screen, I heard a loud crunch, and the hinge began pushing the screen away from its housing. After doing some research, it looks like this is a very common issue with the HP Envy laptop.
I'm unsure if the laptop automatically comes with a warranty, and I'm unable to locate the purchase email from Best Buy. Does HP have a base warranty for its laptops?
