I believe my battery needs to be replaced (battery does not charge, and battery component test failed at start-up), but I am having trouble finding a replacement online. The original purchase email from my HP laptop, which is customized, lists the following battery: 3-cell, 41 Wh Lithium-ion prismatic Battery. I cannot find any such laptop available on HP's website. Two-part question: (1) do I need an exact match for my original battery? For instance, could I purchase the following instead: Battery pack (Primary) - 3-cell lithium-Ion (Li-Ion), 3.25Ah, 36Wh? (2) If I do need an exact match, where can I find a 3-cell, 41 Wh lithium-ion prismatic battery?
