Hi there, I’ve had my HP ENVY 15 x360 PC laptop for about eight or nine years now and I’m looking to upgrade its CPU, RAM, and Graphics card to make it run faster. Right now, its slowing down a lot and struggling to run just a few chrome tabs. Even with cyber–Monday I don’t have the time or money to buy a completely new laptop. On top of this I’m a college student and due to my scholarships, I’m unable to take a semester off and all my classes are online so I need this laptop running at top notch. That’s why I was wondering if it would be cheaper to just buy some parts and have a friend of mine install them.
The only issue is I’m not sure if it’s possible to replace/upgrade the CPU with a completely new one since I have no clue if my model of laptop has a detachable CPU or not. My goal is to replace the current intel core i5 processor with an i7 or above. Then upgrade the ram from 8GB to 16GB. And finally, the graphics card. So, does anyone know if the CPU is detachable with this model or not? I attached an image showing my devices model information incase to help identify if its possible. Currently it dosent even have the device specifications to run windows 11 so it wont update.
