my system's keyboard intermittenly stops working ever since i downloaded a combination keyboard/touchbad driver when the touchpad wasn't working one time. i had noticed that i had to keep updating the bios for the touchpad to work, but the bios had the latest update. i also noticed that the bios on the system update page and the one i have are from the same year, but a different manufacturer, so i decided to download the other driver. it did seem that my system also did not previously have such a driver. i downloaded it anyways, and the keyboard immediately stopped working. i tried system restore, and it said the system restore didn't work, but the keyboard started working again. Ever since then, the keyboard stops working intermittently. I have found that in the device manager, there is a driver for a 2006 keyboard, but i purchased this system in 2016. i am unable to do system restore in my windows 10 system now for some reason. Also, i cannot find that driver that I installed listed. This problem did not exist before. I am pretty sure that unplugging the adapter, or removing the battery, or turning the power off is not the solution.
