Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

The ink cartridge in my HP 6958 printer is stuck in the far right and does not move with manual effort. The first error message was a paper jam error message, but there is no paper jamming the printer and I followed all recommended HP instructions to shut-off/unplug/restart. The second error message displayed that my printer did not shut-down correctly, so again I followed instructions to shut-down correctly, but shut-down error messages would not clear. After numerous attempts to shut-down my printer, the third error message was the printer failure error. I use my printer occasionally to print/scan so it is not used daily and not used for any high-volume printing. My warranty has expired so I would like useful help to fix my printer issues since I have seen other posts with the same issues.
