Over10-months ago, I submitted the same question as found in the title above. So far, no real answer. OK experts, just where is the backup file for printer settings stored stored?
HP Smart Backup and Restore - Where is file saved?
So far, no answer from anyone telling me where the HP Smart Backup file is stored when Backing Up the printer settings. To get to HP Smart Backup and Restore page:
- Open HP Smart app.
- Click on Printer Settings.
- Click on Advanced Settings.
- Click on Tools.
- Click on Backup and Restore.
- Read Back Up Device Settings that state: "The Backup feature allows you to create a password-encrypted file that stores the printer's settings."
- Question: Having performed all the steps required, and saving the backup file, where does the backup file go? It's not to be found in Desktop, Documents, or Downloads folders.
