Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I am trying to remove the base cover of my laptop to clean it. I peeled the rubber strip off of the back to access the screws but it looks like there's a another black layer covering the screw heads. I can't seem to get this layer off and thus cannot access the screws. Any tips? Thanks.
