Hi,
I recently bought my HP envy 360 laptop 5 months ago with a 2 year warranty. I didn't have any issues with the hardware or software until today. I was just opening my laptop in the morning and the right hinge just broke without even touching it. I thought this was a pretty small issue and would be covered under the warranty. I then contacted HP and told them about my issue and they told me it would cost 350 Euros just to fix the hinges as it is not a part of the warranty.
I was absolutely baffled when I found out that one of the most vulnerable parts of a 360 laptop are not covered by the warranty. I insisted that it just happened while opening it, bu they still told me it'd not be covered by the warranty. Do I really have to pay 350 Euros for such a minor issue? Are there any cheaper alternatives?
Any help is appreciated.
