I have had it for about a year and half, but just started using it in from day one it has ran loud and hot. I noticed when I had the charger plugged in, the fans ran louder and it became hotter. Today, the computer/charger started smoking and then caught on fire. I immediately unplugged it and pulled the cord from the laptop and put out the fire. Luckily I was home, or this could have caused a lot more damage. I have an extra charging cord, so I plugged that in after the pc cooled down to see if it had melted the charging port or not, and unfortunately, I can no longer charge my laptop. I have read a few other posts where others have had the same issue. Is there any way to resolve this issue with the charging port or am I out of luck and require a new laptop. I've had problem after problem with HP laptops, so not sure I will stick with them, especially after this!
