Hello,
I got a weird problem with my HP DeskJet 2721. If I replug in the power cable of it with disabled Wi-Fi Direct, it wont reconnect to our home WiFi. Only if I re-enable Wi-Fi Direct, the printer is able to reconnect after loss of power.
With disabled Wi-Fi Direct I have to set the printer into Wifi-Setup mode by pushing Wifi- and Cancel-Button until Power-Button blinks and then go through the Wireless Setup Wizard via its Embedded Web Server. This works until next loss of power.
Restore Factory Defaults and Restore Network Settings didn't help.
HP Network Configuration Page in disabled Wi-Fi Direct state and after regained power:
- Network Name (SSID) is configured
- Number of 802.11 networks discovered: 0
Wireless Network Test Results - Diagnostics Results:
- Wireless On and Working – PASS
- Network Name (SSID) Found – FAIL
- Rest of it – Not Run
Wireless Network Test Results - Current Configuration:
- IP Address, Configuration Source, Internet - Not applicable
- Rest looks valid
Firmware Version: TCP1FN2217DR
Built Date: 2022-04-19
Check for Printer Updates tells this is the newest version.
