Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

 

I have a 250 G7 laptop that will only charge when powered off. I have seen several other posts, but none give a definitive answer. So far I have:-

 

* Changed battery for new

* Used new AC adapter

* Reinstalled Windows with clean install

* Updated BIOS/all drivers

 

It charges to full when switched off, but does not detect the AC adapter in Windows so will drain. I am presuming this must now be hardware but was wondering whether to just try the charging port (about £9 online) or a full mainboard (about £70 online). Has anyone managed to fix this problem?
