Hi,
I am an AVID fan of the SPECTRE series and feel this is a sham.
The laptop was working fine until a very normal day you wake up and it doesn't startup or do anything as a matter of fact.
It's a dead piece of hardware.
I question whether they are aware the power controller is failing and they are aware of this fault hence they are releasing patches to make it work just beyond the warranty period
Sorry, my laptop doesn't startup no power to button nothing at all complete brické
What do I do lookup warranty and this just expired?
What's the next step contact HP and here I am.
I feel my story is exactly as below

I have a Spectre x360 and absolutely loved it until recently. It was plugged into a USB-C charger for a short period of time, and upon removal failed to boot. Upon using the provided charger, the charging light illuminated but the computer still failed to boot. After leaving it on the provided charger for longer, the charging light failed and flickered as well. I reviewed the HP diagnostics page suggesting resetting the battery and did so. Upon removing the battery, I noticed several apparent scorch marks and black soot around the motherboard. I’ve done some support forum reading regarding the issue and it appears motherboard failure in this model while charging is a not uncommon occurrence. I took the computer to the official HP-associated repair shop in my area and they did not even have the correct tools to diagnose a motherboard issue but said it was most likely and sent me to another repair shop. At this shop, it was confirmed the issue was the motherboard but they are unable to repair this problem with this model. I have tried several times to reach out to HP customer support to how I should proceed. is incredible to me that HP would continue producing laptops knowing this problem is a common occurrence without fixing it or providing their customers with an avenue for repair. This laptop was very expensive to completely stop working after 2 years with no option of repair.
