Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-bp1xx and i just bought the hp rechargeable mpp2.0 tilt pen and the buttons are not working. like I can see the curser and use the pen and everything but if I press one of the button nothing happens. I don't know if it's a software issue or hardware, and the weird part is my pc knows when I prese the buttons cause it will stop any other action of the pen. and I downloaded pen control thinking that would help but noting.
