Hello! I have a 2 year old HP all in one desktop. I had some issues with my wifi adaper about 1 year ago, sent in the HP computer as it was under warranty and they 'fixed it'. Now, almost exactly 1 year later I am having the same issues.
My wifi sometimes upon start up will not connect, it will show the world symbol. Other times, it connects to the wifi for about 5 minutes and then I loose it again. Sometimes it stays connected for 45 minutes but inevitably gets lost.
I run the connection troubleshooter and it always says it needed to reset the network adapter or there is a cable not connected to the router. There is no cable issues as all the other electronics in my home dont have issues. I reset it, sometimes wifi comes back, sometimes I have to restart the computer to get it working again.
With this issue I tried to update EVERYTHING! I updated windows 10 to 11, updated all the drivers and updated everything from HP. I also did full cloud restoration for windows 11. No changes.....
The adapter is
Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter
I also see Realtek PCle Gbe Family Controller to which I did allow this device to wake up the computer & allow the computer to turn off thie device to save power which was recommended in another forum.
any advice is highly appreciated!!!!
