HP Elite Dragonfly 13.5 inch G3 Notebook PC (4J040AV)

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

I have a charging problem with my new HP Elite Dragonfly G3 13.5'' notebook.

While travelling this week, I used my old non-HP travel charger which has an output of up to 120 W.

I returned back to the office today and noticed that the notebook is not charging when connected to my HP Thunderbolt Dock G4 120 W. Otherwise, the dock works normally (connection to monitor, keyboard, printer, LAN…). The charging light is not on. I tried the USB C ports on both sides.

I then connected the power adapter which came with my notebook (65 W). The charging light did turn on and the lightning bolt was shown on the battery symbol, but the notebook still kept losing battery. It got the same result with both USB C ports.

As I had run out of options, I connect my travel charger again and it works just fine, charging rapidly. Both USB C ports work with this charger.

It is almost like my notebook had been "spoiled" by my strong travel charger and would not accept anything else anymore.

Can you please help me get my Thunderbolt Dock G4 and my HP power adapter to work again.

Many thanks.
