I recently got a new computer, and my printer (so I thought) set up fine with no problems. New computer is an HP. I tried to print something the first time with it. A window popped up and said it needed to optimize my printer. Okay. Then another screen pops up in the HP Smart Printing. Shows my HP Envy 5250 printer and it is checking printer status. When the first window popped up it showed it as available. But this second window shows "Checking Printer Status" with the blue circle going around. And that's as far as it gets. I have it hooked up wirelessly, and made sure that the computer and printer are on the same network. I have tried just leaving it and see what it does. But nothing happens. I have tried uninstalling the HP Smart Printer software and completely removing the printer from the system. I have tried restarting the computer and the printer as well and then reinstalling but I am having the same issue. It works fine on my HP laptop, and everything prints fine. So it has something to do with the setup and this computer. Any help would be appreciated.
