Product: HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 13-bf0000 (552D5AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
Hi HP service team
I have hp envy 13 x360-bf0078tu with in warranty product purchased in October 2022. Within a few days of the purchase, the inbuilt HP true vision 5mp camera started malfunctioning. Issues faced are as following:
- Camera doesn't shut down automatically after windows hello facial recognition (even after using camera kill switch)
- On opening the windows camera app, a blank grey screen appears even when the camera is on.
- On video call platforms such as google meet, zoom, microsoft teams meet, the camera goes blank or a green screen appears and the unit starts malfunctioning leading to heating and heavy battery discharge.
I had given the laptop in HP authorised service center on 17/01/2023 They replaced the Camera unit and cable. I got it back on 21/01/2023. I tested the laptop under normal use and I'm facing the same issues again.
It is an in warranty product. I want the unit replaced. This is completely unacceptable from a company like HP. I'm attaching relevant proofs of the issue and these are of 21/01/2023 post repair. What is the solution?
Windows Camera App
