XB8 doesn't dupport HP printer Officjey 4630- Xfinity needs to update XB8 firmware to support WPA3
Switched from good old XB6 to new XB8, after 2 hours I got it working BUT my HP printer 4630 didn't work: during network identification it FAILED 'No Filtering' while filter is off. Found, finally, that it was caused because XB8 used by default WPA3 Personel. HP printers (it seem no HP printer (for home usage)) supports WPA3, and gateway must be back schaled to WPA2. Cannot be done via gateway (10.0.0.1) itself, but via the XFi APP (although it is a bit hidden): Go to XFi APP, select 'connect' on bottom, select the network name, 'view/edit WiFi Settings', change security mode to WPA2. (WPA3-transition doesn't work either). So I was able to fix it, but with lower security settings for the whole gateway! Xfinity needs to fix this and make a firmware upgrade to support WPA3. As said, it seems none of HP printers support WPA3, even the new ones. didn't check yet for alternative. When will HP printers support WPAK3?
