Hello, I recently purchsed ( HP 15.6" FHD Touch, Intel Core i3-1115G4, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Silver, Windows 10 (S mode), 15-dy2132wm) and I have been having troubles getting an external monitor to work from the USB Type-C port, I have updated Windows 10 to the latest version, installed the latest drivers from Intel and HP support, I have repeatedly reinstalled the drivers on device manager. I have bought docking stations I have bought hubs and none have worked.
The HDMI port successfully allows one external monitor as expected, but the USB Type-C to HDMI cable I am trying to use which uses the Display Port Alt protocol cannot display the monitor, I have changed monitors and tried the cable on another laptop that successfully runs a monitor from USB Type-C and the monitor and cable both work.
I have tried each monitor directly to the laptop through HDMI port on laptop, and each individually worked fine. However connecting those HDMI cables to the docking station and the docking station being via connected host with the laptop through usb-c port won't even detect the monitors. Interesting enough it does detect everything else through the usb-c port like the ethernet connection off of the docking station as well as the other connections for the speakers. Everything off the docking station through usb-c port works fine but it does not detect the monitors.
Any help would be really appreciated.
