Hello all,
I recently bought a new system board for a laptop that I was looking to rebuild. (It is an HP-dq0xxx series laptop and based on the information I can find, the specs are consistent with the HP 14-dq0007ca.) All goes well, as in I'm able to install Windows and charge the battery and everything, but when I first turned it on, I saw that it said "Manufacture programming mode is in unlock mode" (which I was later able to lock via HP Bios Configuration Utility), and later on I noticed that in the BIOS, the product name, system family, product number, and serial number were all missing, as seen here:
Product information missing.
I have upgraded and recovered the BIOS more than once and nothing is working. How can I fix this without buying another system board or having to outsource help?
Thanks in advance.
