The Problem
1. When the printer runs out of paper, or the paper tray is removed, it shows Out of Paper on the printer display, and the print driver/queue in Windows shows "Out of Paper" in the title bar.
2. We refill paper and reload the paper tray. On the printer display, we put the printer back online. The printer display shows it's online and ready.
3. The problem is, the print driver/queue in Windows still shows "Out of Paper" in the title bar and no print jobs will print. The print jobs stay in the queue.
Troubleshooting
If we restart the spooler service, it will sometimes fix the "out of paper" state in the print driver/queue. If we reboot the computer, it will always fix the the "out of paper" state in the print driver/queue.
Question
How can we fix the issue where the print driver/queue thinks the printer is out of paper, when it is not.
Devices
This is an HP 4001 printer connected via ethernet (not wifi) to a Windows 10 64-bit PC.
It's using the Microsoft IPP Class Driver, version 10.0.1904.1
