May be of interest to those with an old HP Scanjet G3110 and Windows 11 OS.  I downloaded the windows driver for HP scanjet g3110 from this site (the driver has been removed from HP's site):

(Green download rectangular button towards the top.)

Thereafter, the Windows scan program (the built-in "Windows Fax and Scan" program) saw the scanner and I was able to scan without issues.  I'm using Windows 11.
