I bought a new replacement battery from the HP Parts Surfer. While it's better than my old one, I feel like I should be getting more battery life out of it as this new one lasts around 2 to 2 and a half hours. I've seen a lot of forums talking about uninstalling and reinstalling battery drivers and many people respond saying that it has improved their battery life. However, every forum I see has a different set of steps to doing it, even from official HP representatives. They all pertain to deleting "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" and restarting the computer, but some go as far as removing the battery or holding the power button for a certain amount of time. I just want to know if there's a specific way of doing it.
