I am having a problem that apparently thousands of others have had. My left hinge broke, due to poor quality parts used by HP. I am a student and was in the last quarter of college. Mid term my hinge broke and then the broken hinge cracked my screen, making the laptop useless.
I had to drop my classes, losing my tuition for the quarter and was not able to graduate in June. I have now registered for my classes for the fall, and I don't have a laptop.
After researching the issue, I am now aware of how HP has used and continues to use hinges that break and cause the laptops to completely fail.
Thousands of consumers have had this issue, with the only fault of the consumer being we trusted HP to sell us a quality product.
Other members of the community have been helped and given the information as to where to send the laptop to be repaired, free of charge. I would like to know of a service center to send my laptop to so that it can be repaired or replaced.
Thank you for your assistance in dealing with HP and the defective design regarding hinges used on their laptops.
