System Restore removed what I thought was a corrupt LAN driver from the computer. The driver was SP148266. System Restore also removed the sound from the computer, and prevented any Microsoft updates. It may be November 22nd before the Microsoft Update program will unfreeze to let any updates happen. Microsoft Update said it would resume on that date, and It won't let anyone resume updates. We didn't download, or pay, for Microsoft Windows Defender, and that also did sneak into the computer to be angry at several zip files, and delete some software. Microsoft Defender won't tell anyone what it deleted, or what it was doing. I wanted to fix the sound by downloading HP Audio Center, but the Microsoft Store says something went wrong on their side, and it won't reinstall. I have downloaded the Windows 10 HP Audio drivers, and installed it. No sound after reinstalling the drivers with the HP Audio Control. HP Audio Control isn't HP Audio Center from the MS Store. After reading the answer given on this forum about installing HP Audio Center from the Microsoft Store only, I know some people mistook the HP Audio Control that comes with audio drivers for that HP Audio Center software. Can you help restore the sound to this computer, and restore the Microsoft Updates too? We signed into the MS Account and tried to reinstall at this URL. https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/hp-audio-center/9NSSRGMH5940?hl=en-US&gl=US The software gave an automatic response saying something went wrong on Microsoft Store App reinstall site. We tried a few more times. I have given feedback to them after that web sites Microsoft troubleshooting software tried to fix anything the sound system. Please email to us if anyone replies? Thank you for your tolerance.
