Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I've always had a problem with my charger for my Hp Pavilion 15 ec1-xxx gaming laptop where the charger was always loose and it would always need to be positioned in a certain way for it to charge properly. It was always an inconvience, but I was able to use this charger for years no problem even though it was always loose, but one day when I plugged it in, it started causing smoke and instantly melted.

Now when I bought a replacement charger, the same issue happened. So I'm pretty certain the internal charging port needs to be replaced as well as the charger itself. My question is, will replacing that stuff fix this issue? Or is the issue with the actual motherboard? I'm just worried that I"m going to spend money buying another new charger as well as the internal charging port for it to not fix the problem in the end.
