Product: HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 13-bd0000 (172M6AV)

I have owned the laptop only 18 months and the bottom right hand corner of the laptop screen has popped out of the casing. I cannot close or open the laptop at all without an awful cracking noise and the problem getting worse.

I’ve read several times online about this same issue which looks to be common in this model!

Any suggestions? Is my laptop dead?
