Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer

I have NEVER gotten this printer installed on my son's HP 14-ed laptop.  It installs on my work Surface Book 3.  It installs on my wife's old Lenovo laptop.  IT NEVER INSTALLS ON MY SON'S HP.  I've even completely reimaged his laptop and I still have the same issues.

 

If I try to install from Settings > Printers directly, I get Connecting...Connecting...  and then it just goes away.

If I try from the latest downloaded HP drivers, I get, "Installation error"  "Service 'PlugPlay' (PlugPlay) failed to start."

If I try from the HP Smart app, I get, "There was a problem during installation".

 

I posted this months ago and not a single person responded.  If I don't get this resolved, I'm going to throw this POS printer out of my window.  Please help.
