I have tried charging my HP Victus 16 via the USB-C port with mixed results. According to the manual, it is possible with up to 100W using USB-PD. I have meticulously checked the ratings and have three adapters that support the charging of it in some capacity: A Baseus GaN2 charger, a docking station within a LG 49WQ95X-W and an Asus Zenbook adapter. But of these three, charging only works with the Asus Zenbook adapter. I saw another thread on here where someone said it worked with an adapter from HP. Does it work only with HP adapters, or is it e-marker chips or something entirely different?
HP support has been less than helpful and really just been wasting my time trying to convince me the adapters are the problem (despite them working with any other device), that USB-C charging isn't possible (despite it working with one specific adapter), sending me to random internal support departments that were even more confused than me when they received my call, or generally just closing my tickets without announcements and being unreachable.
