Hello i need some advice, i had a broken HP laptop which wasn't turning on but the LED charger light was coming on and charging the battery when i added the ac charger into the charging port,
Firstly i checked the voltage with my multimeter and it was fine 19.5v was going through, than i started to check different parts aswell, now the mistake was i accidentally switched my multimeter into diode mode by mistake and added one pin to the charger port pin and the other pin onto the opposite red wire on the motherboard port, when i noticed it was on diode mode i quickly stopped but when i switched the multimeter into the right place i noticed the LED charging light stopped to work and will not switch on or charge the battery anymore, has this got anything to do about adding the diode mode pin on to the charger pin while it was connected to the laptop???
