Pictures? Links? Does this actually resurrect dead TouchPads?

I don't think there were any pictures. I also don't remember who exactly posted that. Try searching webOS Nation forums. I doubt it'll be useful if firmware somewhere is messed up.

I may offer links to homebrew solutions. HP does not officially support homebrew solutions, and you use them at your own risk.

I found nothing about a reset button, but I was able to resurrect my recently failed TouchPad by using "TPDebrick-v004"!
NOTE TO OTHER USERS: this is a difficult, though do-able solution. There are many caveats associated with performing this trick, and HP does not in any way support radical fixes like this. It involves loading Ubuntu onto a PC, then running the program provided by the developer. Please try all the other suggestions in this thread first - button combinations that force a reset, a different charging cable, checking the condition of your charging transformer, lower mA chargers, etc.

Just a quick note, please make sure you understand all the instructions before starting, and that you are comfortable working on command lines and is willing to risk a further bricked device. If you have any problems, be sure to ask.

What was the situation with your TP? I've tried all of the button combinations that everyone has talked about. I have the touchstone charger and both the circular adaptor and the back of my TP get slightly warm but nothing happens after days of charging. I know that my TP has unfortunately sometimes gone to significantly low battery due to the fact that it is in a case which makes it sensitive to positioning on the touchstone.
I just want to make sure this is the correct situation to try the solution you gave.

My situation - 32gig TouchPad, CM9 installed and used daily. Powered device off completely for a plane trip, device never came back to life. It was fully charged prior to powering down. No button combinations, chargers, or cables would awaken it. I tried for days everything I read in various forums.
Others in that thread have revived their devices from the battery symbol question mark of Death.

If none of the other suggestions in this thread help you re-start your TouchPad, please refer to the post from WyreNut (which is 5 posts above yours), which includes a link to an outside web site with a possible solution to your problem.
