HP OmniBook X Flip 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop Next Gen AI PC 16-ar0000 (AK4R8AV)

I have one annoying message that keeps popping up in my notifications, "Enable Imersive Movies...". I have hit do not show again but it keeps showing up! I don't want to turn off notifications, just get rid of the one that just won't go away.  HP OmniBook X Flip. Thanks in advance

Hi @me010859

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how distracting it must feel to have that persistent notification interrupting your work, especially after you’ve already chosen “Do not show again.” Thank you for trying that step—it shows you’ve already taken initiative.

Let’s go through a few ways to silence that specific message without turning off all notifications:

Step 1: Check HP App Notifications

  1. Open the HP App from your Start menu.
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon in the top-right).
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Look for any toggle related to “Immersive Movies” or media features and disable it.

Step 2: Manage Windows Notifications

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  2. Navigate to System > Notifications.
  3. Scroll down to Notifications from apps and other senders.
  4. Locate the HP App entry and expand it.
  5. Turn off only the specific notification category related to “Immersive Movies” while keeping other useful alerts enabled.

Step 3: Clear Cached Notifications

  1. Open the HP App.
  2. Sign out and sign back in, or close and restart the app.
  3. This refresh often clears stuck prompts that ignore the “Do not show again” option.

Step 4: Update HP App

  • Ensure you’re running the latest version of the HP App, as updates often refine notification behavior.
  • You can check for updates in the Microsoft Store under Library > Get updates.

These steps should help you stop that one stubborn message while keeping the rest of your notifications intact.

Hello @me010859 @

Welcome to the HP community.

I searched for this internally and worked with a colleague from the Software RnD Team, and this is a known issue and has been addressed.

Please open the Microsoft Store and check for Updates

The HP App should be one of these updates. Install this, and it should address the issue
