Hi,

im having an issue with my new OmniStudio X. The fan is always running even if the CPU is on idle.

In the BIOS there is only an Option called "Temperature" but there you can only few the actual speed of both fans.

Is there any way to tell the fan that it doesn't have to run all the time?

I already ugraded my BIOS to F.04 Rev.A but there is no option to turn of those always on fans.

This is now the fourth report about this problem with the Omnistudio X. Would be really nice to get a feedback from HP.

Have you also ordered in Germany?

I have the 32 variant without the AMD graphics card. Which model do you have?

Same Model with the intel arc gpu and I also ordered in Germany.
If you use the HP command center you can slow them a little bit. But it doesn‘t save the quiet setting, so you have to autostart the app.

There should be an option that the fans don‘t always  run because if they always run they won‘t work really long. They run even if the cpu is cold.

Also figured out the silent mode in the HP command center. But in my opinion also the silent mode isn't silent enough.

HP support proposed to replace my device. But considering the feedback in this forum, this might not solve the problem.

Let's really hope for a proper feedback from HP.

Yeah I hope so too. The telefon support couldn‘t help me. I just ran those fan tests after hitting esc while startup but those fans on 100% are so loud.

Do you also have the big with the brightness dimming? This works fine after booting but some time later the dimming isn‘t working anymore until a reboot.

HP Recommended

Yes, i have the big one with 32 inch.

Once, i had a problem with brightness control. Brightness was not changing. The on screen brightness display (from Windows) did only change between two positions. Same for you?

HP Recommended

Yes thats‘s the same issue here. Only siwtche. Between 2 positions and still no change at the brightness on the screen.

I‘m glad that these issues are not only on my machine. I think those 2 bugs are software related so it shouldnt be that hard to fix that. But that is in the hand of HP.

HP Recommended

Yes, I agree.

But how to get attention from HP?

Looks like at least in the first post from two month ago, a HP employee did respond. Unfortunately, no response to the latest posts so far.

Maybe, I will try again to contact support via phone tomorrow.

HP Recommended

Yeah I will also call the support again during the next week. If you get any news let me know.

Do you also have only one energy profile in windows 11?
Maybe I‘ll reinstall win 11 to get a clean install since the oem install is always with diffrent settings.

Looks like bios F.05 is now available. Will try the next days.
