Hi everyone, I just got a new Omnibook 5 ordered 04.12.25 got it 05.12.25, the warranty is almost 2 months out of date, which I discovered when I went to look at extending my warranty with an HP care pack, and it said this device can no longer be extended.

I have done the warranty check and there is no link at the bottom to dispute the warranty on the warranty page, this is not commercial product and I am not in India, I am in the UK, the two reasons it shows for why there is no link.

I have removed most of pointless bloat that Microsoft and HP try to force on you and have also upgraded W11 Home to W11 Pro, I have not done a clean install, just changed the license key, because i wanted BitLocker on, so dont know if this has made a difference to the link not appearing, but in truth it should not really matter should it, my having W11 Pro makes zero difference to the warranty, so am a little miffed about this.

I do not require any software support from HP but I do want my hardware covered, for the period of at least 1Y not 10M.

Trying to contact HP by email is ridiculously difficult, and I am working Mon-Fri 8-6 my usual hours, I could try the WhatsApp but again, why should i need to, I should just be able to email them and provide my receipts if required etc etc...I just want someone to sort out the discrepancy in the warranty.

Does anyone have an email address I can send my dispute to?

Hello @mrbrooks ,

Welcome to the HP community.

As a new guest to our community, I would advise the community search functionality as it bears answers for most questions.

A quick search for the term "warranty" finds, as an example, this >Brand new desktop already out of warranty?<

One of our friendly volunteers explains exactly why this is happening and also shows how the warranty, if entitled, can be corrected using the Warranty Dispute page.

Most of us are just volunteers here.

Best Regards

Hi Steffen,

Thanks for the reply, but I have already read numerous posts about this, and of course come to the conclusion that this is problem created by HP themselves, and the fact they have thus far failed to provide a solution that is straight forward for all parties is ridiculous, I do not have this issue with Dell or Lenovo for example...

As I stated in my original post, There is no link to raise a dispute, so I cannot raise a warranty dispute can I, which should make it clear that I have already tried all the things suggested in the numerous posts.

I will actually have to take an extended lunch on one of my work days (as I also work 8-6 Mon-Fri and am generally unable to make personal phone calls due to the nature of my work) simply to call them, which is quite honestly, outrageous, especially for such an easy resolution.

I am actually considering sending the thing back because I should not have to inconvenience myself to suit HP for something they could easily fix.

All I wanted to know was does anyone have a support email address we can send this request to, but it appears not, or is not forthcoming, who knows.

And regarding, If Entitled, I have had the device 1.5 days, bought new, so I am absolutely entitled to a full 1Y warranty, not 10 months and as I say, this should be easily fixable, just like other companies are able to do.

Thank you for your time though, and please understand I am not having a pop at you, and also, there is no need to  reply, I wont be coming back to  respond to this thread anymore as clearly I have wasted more than enough time on this as the solution provided are clearly inadequate.
