I am trying to connect 2 displays that have different info on them.  I have both displays connected but they are showing the same thing.

I did say HDMI splitter is a joke. It only gives SAME content on BOTH monitors. I don't know your machine therefore I can't say more BUT worse case you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

Regards.

How do you connect them ? You have to use EXTENDED not DUPLICATE. Please use the following Guide

Hi Banhien,

Thank for your reply!  I do not see the extend option on either monitor.  I a using an HDMI adapter.   I am wondering if my PC does not have the capability to extend the monitors.  The monitors do mirror with the adapter (so both are working).

Thoughts?

Yes.  I am using an HDMI splitter.  One HDMI port in and two out to the monitors.
