PolyLens Voyager Focus 2
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

There is a hardware fault/firmware bug with the Plantronics Poly Lens Voyager Focus 2 headset with boom mic (firmware 0.0.6504.5059).

When connected to Windows 10 via Bluetooth (not the USB dongle), if I dial into a MS Teams call with the boom mic up, or raise the boom mic during a Teams call, the Poly Lens Voyager Focus 2 headset not only mutes the mic but also turns off all sound so that I cannot hear anything on the call at all unless I press the volume up/down buttons on the ear piece turn sound back on; but, even then, the headset might repeatedly turn off sound when the boom mic is raised and so I need to repeatedly press volume up/down to turn sound back on.

I have not experienced this with any other VC apps apart from Teams or my mobile when the headset is connected to it via Bluetooth. I have not tested it on my Mac to see if the same problem occurs, although I suspect this is a headset firmware issue rather than an application software issue.

It seems this is a fault with the firmware, seeing as the headset (connected via Bluetooth, not the USB A/C dongle) only turns off all sound when the boom mic is raised. I called HP to report this bug, but the support consultant kept telling me (four times) to connect the headset to a PC using the USB dongle even though I was calling to report this fault/bug with the headset/firmware. Someone in the development team needs to push out a firmware fix for this Bluetooth bug rather than instruct support consultants to parrot lines about a workaround using the USB dongle.
