Guys could somebody check is there noise in headphones if connected while and after sound/video plays  (pause pushed)

When I unplug the power cord noise disappears

This is rather common. If the manufactior used cheap components you can hear the electrical noise. Try to plug in the Laptop to Power, Set the Sound Level to Max and than move the mouse. You will hear static whenever you move the mouse. You can fix it by using an external Sound card or a head Set with usb or Bluetooth.

My Pavilion Laptop 15-eh1xxx reboots when attempting to resume from sleep, and unfortunately, disabling virtualization in the UEFI didn't fix it.

My HP 255 G8 with Ryzen 5 5500U has exactly these problems and restarts randomly. I cannot use this device like this. Ubuntu 20 and 22 both have the problem. I am glad to have found this article, I was just going to buy Windows 11 because I thpought Ubuntu is the reason for crashes. Deactivating virtualization makes no difference.

Hello,

the problem is that some devices do not work correctly with the power saving mode and have these problems. For this device with this bios version, that is the case. The most sensible thing to do in this situation is to change the power options so that the power saving mode is not used.

HP should take this problem seriously and provide a suitable bios update.

best regards

i had no more restarts after disabling virtualisation in the bios but as i mentioned disabling a fundamental feature such as this is not a solution so here is my mendetory bump

i have the exact same issue (random restart a while after waking up from sleep) & I also bought my HP G8 255 (Ryzen 7 5700) from Amazon Germany!!

Gonna try the solutions proposed in this thread (mainly disabling virtualization in the BIOS) & report back if any solution helps..
